The top of our waterfall with views of the Pecos River behind. The waterfall is about 40 feet wide and 70 feet tall.
This illustration shows the water flow from the arroyos (dried up river) merging together in front of property and then forming one path for the water to flow over our waterfall. This natural phenomenon has been occurring for thousands of years on our property.
Due to large debris in the flash flood waters, we have a tilting Coyote fence upstream that allows the water to flow underneath but filters out large debris before it flows over our waterfall.
Here is a picture of the top of the waterfall filled with water. We have a fortified wall that protects the Cliff House while this phenomenon happens.
