Getting to Sipapu
About an hour and a half to the mountain.
Sipapu Ski & Summer Resort is a relaxed, family-friendly ski area in the mountains north of Mora, on NM-518 near Vadito. From the Cliff House it's about 81 miles, roughly 1 hour 30 minutes in normal conditions, via Las Vegas, NM and the scenic NM-518 corridor.
Make it a winter getaway with two very different days: ski at Sipapu, then spend a slower day by the river, in Santa Fe, or soaking at the Montezuma Hot Springs outside Las Vegas.

- About 81 miles, roughly 1 hr 30 min in normal conditions. Mountain roads can be slow in snow, so allow extra time.
Is the road to the house plowed?
- The house is half a mile off I-25 on a county road maintained year-round.
How many people can stay?
- Up to 7 guests, with one large bathroom. For larger groups, please ask first.
What else is there to do in winter?
- Winter fly fishing on the property, Santa Fe, Pecos National Historical Park and hot springs near Las Vegas.
